What you will do

• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Hire, coach, and guide engineers, providing performance feedback and fostering career growth.

• Technical Direction & Strategy: Oversee technical design, architecture, and best practices (e.g., Apex, Lightning Web Components) for scalability. Demonstrate ultimate accountability for engineering delivery.

• Product Delivery: Manage the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), prioritize the backlog, and ensure timely, high-quality releases.

• Agile Management: Facilitate sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.

• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to align technical goals with business needs.

• Quality & Compliance: Ensure compliance with data security, coding standards, and DevOps best practices (CI/CD). 

What experience you need

• BS or MS degree in a STEM major or equivalent job experience required

• 12+ years of experience in Salesforce software development, with 2-3+ years in a leadership or managerial role.

• Deep knowledge of the Salesforce platform, including Apex, Lightning components, SOQL and declarative customization

• You have experience in debugging, diagnosing, and trouble-shooting complex, production software

• You adore working in a fast paced and agile development environment

• You possess excellent communication, sharp analytical abilities, and proven design skills

• You have detailed knowledge of modern software development lifecycles including CI / CD

• You have the ability to operate across a broad and complex business unit with multiple stakeholders

• You have an understanding of the key aspects of finance especially as related to Technology. Specifically including total cost of ownership and value

• You are a self-starter, highly motivated, and have a real passion for actively learning and researching new methods of work and new technology

• You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with team members at various levels, including business leaders

• Following certifications

  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I, 

  • Salesforce Admin, 

  • Sales Cloud, 

  • Service Cloud,  

  • Data Architecture& Management Designer  OR  Sharing AND Visibility Designer

What could set you apart

• Proficiency working with AI tooling (e.g. CoPilot, Gemini Code Asi to improve SDLC efficiency and effectiveness.

• Following certifications

  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II, 

  • Marketing Cloud, Experience Cloud, 

  • Agentforce Specialist

• UI development (e.g. HTML, JavaScript, AngularJS, Angular4/5 and Bootstrap)

• Source code control management systems (e.g. SVN/Git, Subversion) and build tools like Maven

• Design patterns

• Agile environments (e.g. Scrum, XP)

• Software development best practices such as TDD (e.g. JUnit), automated testing (e.g. Gauge, Cucumber, FitNesse), continuous integration (e.g. Jenkins, GoCD)

• Cloud computing, SaaS (Software as a Service)

• Atlassian tooling (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket)
