Job Description

• Review and process purchase orders.
• Maintain records of goods ordered and received.
• Negotiate prices and contracts with suppliers.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors.
• Select prospective vendors and negotiate contracts.
• Evaluate vendors based on quality, timeliness, and price.
• Schedule deliveries and ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
• Coordinate with fellow managers to monitor inventory and determine supply needs

• Ensure quality of procured items and address problems when they arise.
• Prepare reports on purchases, inventory, including cost analyses.
• Aging analysis and liquidation policy for aging stock.
• Variation in physical stock vs. book Stock.
• Understanding monthly, weekly consumption of fast moving items and preparing re-order level.
