Job Title: Senior Azure Integration Services Developer

Role Overview

The Senior Azure Integration Services Developer is responsible for the design, development, and support of scalable Azure-based integration solutions. The role contributes to technical design, complex development, and quality assurance of integration workflows, ensuring solutions are secure, resilient, performant, and aligned with architectural standards.

Operating with a high degree of autonomy, this role leads the development of complex integration components, supports delivery teams through design and code reviews, and contributes to the continuous improvement of integration practices.

Key Responsibilities

Integration Design & Development

Design and develop end-to-end integrations using:

Azure Logic Apps

Azure Functions

Azure API Management

Azure Service Bus and Event Grid

Implement synchronous, asynchronous, publish–subscribe, and file-based integration patterns

Translate business requirements into functional and technical integration designs

Produce and maintain High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), and integration flow diagrams

Complex Integration Delivery

Lead the development of complex integration workflows and reusable components

Perform data mapping, transformation, and orchestration across systems

Implement robust error handling, retries, compensation, and resiliency patterns

Optimise integrations for performance, cost efficiency, scalability, and reliability

Testing, Release & Support

Conduct unit testing and support System Integration Testing (SIT)

Assist during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production readiness activities

Support CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment of integration components

Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure deployability and operational supportability

Collaboration & Technical Leadership

Work closely with business, application, and platform teams to analyse integration requirements

Participate in design and code reviews, providing guidance and assurance

Mentor junior developers and promote integration best practices

Experience Band

5–8 years of experience in Azure integration or middleware development roles.

Technical Skills & Experience

Essential

Strong hands-on experience with:

Azure Logic Apps

Azure Functions

Azure API Management

Solid understanding of:

Synchronous and asynchronous integrations

Event-driven architectures

Proven experience producing HLD, LLD, and integration documentation

Working knowledge of CI/CD automation using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions

Experience building resilient and scalable integration solutions

Preferred

Microsoft Azure AZ-204 (Developing Solutions for Microsoft Azure) certification

Experience in enterprise-scale integration environments

Exposure to hybrid or distributed integration landscapes
