Role Overview

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end project execution across multiple HVAC projects. This includes planning, coordination, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery within defined cost, time, and quality parameters. The role demands strong leadership skills, client management, and technical expertise in HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Execution

  • Lead complete project lifecycle from initiation to handover.
  • Prepare project schedules, execution plans, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure project delivery within timelines, budget, and agreed quality standards.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (design, supply chain, service, commissioning) to ensure seamless execution.

2. HVAC Project Management

  • Manage installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems (chillers, AHUs, VRF, ducting, piping, etc.).
  • Review technical drawings, BOQs, and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety norms, and regulatory requirements.

3. Stakeholder & Client Management

  • Act as primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
  • Conduct regular progress meetings and provide status updates.
  • Address project-related escalations and implement corrective actions.

4. Team Leadership

  • Supervise and mentor project engineers, site supervisors, and contractors.
  • Ensure effective workforce utilization and performance management.

5. Budgeting & Cost Control

  • Track project costs, materials, and manpower utilization.
  • Manage vendor negotiations and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
  • Raise and validate project-related invoices and documentation.

6. Risk Management & Quality Assurance

  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure high standards of workmanship.
  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed at site.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred).
  • PMP or equivalent certification is an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in HVAC project management.
  • Strong background in managing large-scale commercial, industrial, or infrastructure HVAC projects.

Technical Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems: chillers, VRF, ventilation, ducting, and cooling systems.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and MS Office.
  • Understanding of project drawings, technical specifications, and contractual documentation.
