Position Summary:We at Perforce are looking for Senior Java Software Engineer for Akana team in Pune. Akana provides an end-to-end API Lifecycle management, gateway and API security solution. We work in an agile product development process with core values of results, teamwork, ownership, quality of work, problem solving, and service to customers. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java software development.

Core Technical Skills:

• Proven track record of working on enterprise-grade Java applications.
• Strong understanding and practical application of design patterns and software engineering principles.
• Good experience with Spring Framework and RESTful/SOAP web services.
• Exposure to ElasticSearch, caching mechanisms, and logging frameworks.
• Experience with one or more SQL/NoSQL databases - Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.
• Experience on Gradle/Maven.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD tools and pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Development Practices:

• Experience working with Git and version control systems.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.

Communication & Collaboration:

• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-driven with a strong sense of ownership.

Added Advantage:

• Knowledge or experience with the OSGi framework.

Nice to Have:

• UI Development skills: JavaScript, Bootstrap, jQuery, etc.
• Experience with Python scripting or development.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
