• Monitoring and incident response

Job Description:

Primary Skills: SAP Basis
Education: UG - Any Graduate - Any Specialization. Excellent interpersonal written and verbal skills in English. Self-motivated and directed with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a timely manner.

The Job

Work within a corporate information technology operations organization as a managing SAP system, including upgrades, System refresh, migrations, and troubleshooting, with a focus on ensuring high performance and stability of the SAP landscape. Administering the environment to meet the day-to-day demand in an efficient cost-effective manner. Support projects as required to meet IT objectives while managing available time based on priorities. Provide reports and metrics as needed to support operations requirements analysis and growth planning. Should possess good experience in system monitoring, system patches, security vulnerability.

Required Skills:

• Highly Technical Skilled SAP ABAP and JAVA system monitoring
• Good experience in SAP DR, Storage replication and backup/restore
• Strong knowledge of SAP Instance, database and transaction code/ query tuning to improve the performance of the database/application.     
• E-2-E analysis, troubleshooting and reporting expertise on SAP application performance KPIs, memory, CPU, IO bottlenecks.
• Automation of patching & regular maintenance tasks.
• On-Demand consulting for SAP performance
• SAP ABAP/JAVA upgrade and system refresh of ECC, SRM and SNC
• SAP Performance Analysis and Optimization: Tuning for transactions, background services, and data throughput including root cause analysis
• SAP patching activity (kernel, ST-PI/API, SPAU and SPDD)
• Setting up and maintaining SAP ABAP/JAVA user accounts and access management systems.
• Good knowledge of SAP printers with third party tool Cypress
• SAP System Assessment: Analysis of errors and performance loss in the SAP system, the database, and the operating system
• Responding to user requests and software errors.
• Monitoring the performance of the system and server.
• Creating backup and recovery policies.
• Setting up and monitoring security policies.
• Applying patches and upgrades when necessary.
• Follows industry standards and best practices.
• Exposure to production support.
• Should be customer-facing and team player in supporting SAPGUI deployments, rollouts and troubleshooting
• Process Knowledge of Retail & CPG industry would be an added advantage.
• ABAP/JAVA Performance monitoring & troubleshooting.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with SAP BASIS Administration, SAP ECC 6 EHP7, SRM & SNC with PO 7.5 & S4C/C4C & Cloud ALM
• Hands on experience in SAP Upgrade and Refresh of ECC, SRM, PO,
• Experience SAP DR run in point in time recovery
• Experience in SAP component Patching activities
• Incident management - System failure analysis and recovery; insuring system consistency.
• Proactively managing the environment to prevent incidents from occurring.
• Problem management - Determine root cause and drive issues to resolution.
• Third party tool with SAP configuration (cypress, paymetric, vertex)
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring optimal performance and user satisfaction.
• Conduct training sessions for staff.
• Experience with Ansible for automation.
• Implementation of standard SAP security hotfix for ABAP/JAVA systems.

Good to have: 

• SAP connectivity with third party toll like vertex/spectrum/cypress.

• Basic understanding of SAP Solution manager or Cloud ALM

• Familiarity with SAP on cloud
