Sheet Metal Fabrication Shop In-Charge

Qualification: Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering

Role Summary

We are looking for a hands-on Fabrication Shop In-Charge to manage end-to-end sheet metal shop operations including production, CNC laser cutting, welding, quality, and team management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage complete shop floor operations from raw material to dispatch
• Oversee CNC laser cutting and welding processes
• Interpret drawings and ensure accurate production execution
• Plan and monitor daily production schedules
• Lead and train operators, welders, and shop floor staff
• Ensure quality standards, minimize rework and wastage
• Coordinate with procurement, design, and vendors
• Maintain safety, discipline, and 5S on the shop floor

Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes
• Hands-on experience with CNC laser cutting & welding
• Ability to read engineering drawings and tolerances
• Good leadership, problem-solving, and coordination skills
