Shift Manager

Bangalore Canteen is a fast-growing South Indian QSR brand based in Pune. We currently have 4 outlets and are expanding to other locations soon. Job Description: Shift Manager / Supervisor

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Handling

• Manage a team of 5–6 members during the shift.
• Ensure all staff are in proper uniform and following hygiene rules.
• Assign duties and manage staff break timings to ensure the floor is never empty.

2. Staff Training

• Train new team members on basic service standards and menu items.
• Teach the team how to maintain cleanliness and follow safety rules.
• Ensure all staff members understand and follow company procedures.

3. Inventory Management

• Monitor stock levels of all raw materials and packaging.
• Ensure there are no stock-outs by reporting requirements in advance.
• Verify and record all incoming deliveries for correct weight and quantity.

4. Cash Handling

• Manage the billing counter and process all payments (Cash/Digital).
• Reconcile total cash with the sales report at the end of every shift.

5. Customer Handling

• Interact with customers to ensure they have a positive dining experience.
• Handle customer complaints or queries quickly and professionally.
• Monitor service speed to ensure customers are served within the target time.

6. SOP Implementation

• Complete the daily Opening and Closing checklists as per company guidelines.
• Monitor food quality and portioning to ensure consistency in every order.
• Maintain strict standards for outlet cleanliness and table turnaround.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Experience: 6 months–3 years of experience in the QSR or F&B industry.
• Communication: Able to speak and understand local languages & english.
• Flexibility: Open to working rotational shifts, including early mornings or nights.
• Grit: Willing to assist the team on the floor during busy peak hours.
• Problem Solving: Ability to handle difficult customers or staff issues calmly.
