Software Engineer - Generative AI

About the jobWe are looking for a motivated software engineer to join our Applied AI team. This is a hands-on engineering role where you will work alongside senior engineers to design, build, and deploy AI-driven systems for real-world client use cases.

At Newtuple, junior engineers don't work on toy problems. You will contribute to production-grade AI systems across domains such as RAG applications, intelligent automation, LLM-powered tools, data pipelines, and enterprise AI integrations. You will learn to move quickly from idea to working prototype, and from prototype to production, while developing strong engineering fundamentals.

A key expectation for this role is openness to AI-assisted development. You should be comfortable using AI coding tools, debugging assistants, and LLM-driven workflows to accelerate learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Applied AI development:

1. Assist in building and deploying AI-powered applications such as RAG systems, chatbots, workflow automation tools, and data enrichment pipelines.

2. Work with APIs for LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source models, etc.) and integrate them into backend systems.

3. Contribute to prompt engineering, evaluation experiments, and iterative model improvements.

4. Support implementation of vector databases, retrieval pipelines, and basic agent workflows.

B. Software engineering:

1. Develop backend features and APIs using Python, Node.js, Go, or similar technologies.

2. Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code under the guidance of senior engineers.

3. Participate in designing microservices and modular systems that power AI applications.

4. Translate loosely defined requirements into functional prototypes and production features.

5. Work across multiple projects and adapt to different technical stacks and client contexts.
