Software Test Automation Engineer
Job Description Summary
Requires working knowledge and expanded conceptual knowledge of approaches, tools and platforms in the area of software test automation. Works under a moderate level of guidance and direction. Is proficient in the use of test management and other components of tools and performs a range of technical assignments and solves moderately complex problems under guidance of established policies and procedures. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project following the agile scrum process as specified for the team. Assists in the development, maintenance, and support of various systems and tools. Supports the achievement of goals through own personal efforts.
Main Responsibilities:
Develop/automate the functional tests for Gemini(Desktop) as well as iFirm/iFirmTax (Web) products.
Maintenance- Update automated tests as per the changes in the application.
Execute these tests according to a defined schedule and transmit the results.
Document in a clear and concise manner the anomalies/bugs encountered during the test.
Develop and maintain test tools infrastructure and development environments.
Produce the relevant documentation.
Requirements:
Experience with Selenium in C# (4-5 years)
Experience with TestComplete
Readiness to work on both the automation tools, TestComplete and Selenium
Strong in OOPs concepts
Strong experience in automating functional test cases
Strong experience at automation framework implementation
Experience in API Testing - Understanding of client-server architecture and communication principles
Experience in automating business workflows and running them in Azure CI/CD pipeline
Participate in design and code reviews, creates test cases from design/user stories
Develop and implement automation strategies for right ratio of Unit, API and GUI tests
Creation/Automation of test data and test harnesses
Experience with Jenkin, Git, Jira, Visual Studio and TestRail tools
Should have worked on continuous integration implementation
Knowledge of the Agile/Scrum methodology
Good knowledge on performance testing
Knowledge of virtual environments like VMWare
Should be good at troubleshooting and problem solving
Flexibility on the working hours
Ability to work in a team inside and outside his business unit
Compliance with deadlines, able to anticipate risks and make the necessary adjustments
Experience in using generative AI tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot/Edge Copilot) into manual/automation testing to drive speed and innovation.
Ability to stay updated with the latest advancements in generative AI and incorporate them into day-to-day work using approved list of tools.
