ob Summary

We are looking for a skilled and experienced GCP DevOps Engineer to join our team The ideal candidate will have expertise in Google Cloud Platform GCP services infrastructure automation CICD pipelines and cloudnative DevOps practices You will be responsible for designing implementing and maintaining scalable secure and reliable cloud infrastructure to support our applications and services

Key Responsibilities

1 Design implement and manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform GCP

2 Automate infrastructure provisioning configuration and deployment using tools like Terraform Ansible or Cloud Deployment Manager

3 Build and maintain CICD pipelines using tools like Jenkins GitLab CICD or Cloud Build

4 Monitor and optimize cloud resources for performance cost and scalability using tools like Stackdriver Prometheus or Grafana

5 Implement and manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes GKE

6 Ensure security best practices including IAM policies network security and data encryption

7 Collaborate with development teams to streamline the software delivery process and improve system reliability

8 Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues in production and nonproduction environments

9 Implement disaster recovery and backup strategies for critical systems and data

10 Stay updated with the latest GCP services and DevOps tools to recommend improvements

Required Skills

1 Handson experience with Google Cloud Platform GCP services including Compute Engine Cloud Storage Cloud Functions BigQuery PubSub and GKE

2 Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code IaC tools like Terraform Cloud Deployment Manager

3 Proficiency in building and managing CICD pipelines

4 Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration preferably Google Kubernetes Engine GKE

5 Strong scripting skills in Python for automation

6 Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Google Cloud Operations Suite formerly Stackdriver Prometheus or Grafana

7 Knowledge of networking concepts including VPCs firewalls load balancers and DNS

8 Experience with version control systems like Git and branching strategies

9 Understanding of security best practices including IAM secrets management and vulnerability scanning

10 Strong problemsolving and troubleshooting skills

Preferred Skills

1 Experience with multicloud environments or hybrid cloud setups

2 Knowledge of serverless computing eg Cloud Functions Cloud Run

3 Familiarity with Cloud SQL Firestore or other GCPmanaged databases

4 Exposure to cost optimization strategies on GCP

5 Experience with Service Mesh tools like Istio or Linkerd

6 Knowledge of compliance standards like SOC 2 ISO 27001 or GDPR

Qualifications

Bachelors or masters degree in computer science Engineering or a related field

7 years of experience in DevOps Cloud Engineering or related roles

GCP certifications eg Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer Professional Cloud Architect are a plus
