The principal responsibility of the Business Analysis job category is to manage and execute analysis activity for one or more projects programmes or value streams The role holder may be located in a variety of areas of HSBC they may be located in projects as well as in established BAU teams

It is possible that the Business Analyst will work on multiple projects Programmes or value streams simultaneously

Gathering clarifying and documenting business and technical requirements related to endpoint protection device hardening malware prevention and detection capabilities and defining design options

Assisting with the translation of business requirements and designs into more detailed functional requirements

Translating security and operational needs into user stories process flows and solution specifications

Creates analysis of customer journeys and product functionality

Supporting delivery subject matter experts with defining solution options that can be evaluated to recommend the best solution option that meets the need and brings the most value to stakeholders

Supporting deployment and configuration of endpoint protection platforms eg CrowdStrike Trellix

Participating in change management activities which can include tasks such as timeline planning tracking progress to stakeholder engagement

Provides the Capability Lead with administrative support whilst evolving Product roadmap creation of epics and writing of user stories and managing the product backlog

Assisting in the implementation of solutions including implementation readiness and piloting activities

Collaborating in change interventions such as training and communication

Requirements lifecycle management from inception to retirement including continuous improvement and reuse

Provides expertise in DevOps pipeline tools like Jenkins and Ansible

Provides expertise in Agile engineering practices eg Scrum Kanban LEAN as well as Disciplined Agile and SAFE framework experience

Understands risk exposure to the bank and helps senior colleagues manage it
