Position SummaryHoneywell is looking out for young, energetic innovators and marketeers to be a part its “Impact by Honeywell” business focussed on Mass Mid-segment, based out of Pune.This position will be responsible for innovation and new product development for Industrial Sensors, Industrial IoT and Digital Supply Chain. This includes owning the current product portfolio and defining the future roadmap, identifying customer needs and creating a differentiated offering with strong value proposition to serve these needs while ensuring high ROI for the business, working with engineering, sourcing & quality assurance teams to ensure on-time, on-cost NPIs, defining the market positioning, pricing & target segments for the portfolio, developing sales & channel competencies to ensure sales volumes, drive revenue and gross margin as per defined AOP/targets.We are looking for a self-driven, pro-active, mature marketing professional with strong technical and functional skills to take challenges head on, have the right mix of strategic thinking and tactical execution skills to develop market leading product portfolio and grow the business faster than market, profitably. The candidate should be willing to work with diverse & large cross-functional teams spread across India and should have strong logical & influencing skills supported by meticulous planning & execution rigour.We are mainly looking for candidates with strong solutioning experience in the domains of Industrial IoT, Sensors and Digital Factory. The candidate should have strong customer connect as well as deep technical knowledge to be able to understand customer problems and translate them into technical solutions & engineering requirements. This person is responsible to own the concept to cash lifecycle – right from doing customer VOCs to innovation to rapid prototyping to productization and then scale up into a profitable business line.Role: Product Manager, Industrial IoT and SensorsReports to: Chief Product Officer (CPO) – Impact by HoneywellType: Individual ContributorLocation: Pune, IndiaFunction: MarketingNew Product DevelopmentDefine & own the Product and Technology roadmap for the portfolio. Have a strong sales & customer connect to analyse customer problems, market needs and technology trends to create on-time, on-cost differentiated offerings that earn significant ROI for the business.Understand the different needs of target segments and ensure that the portfolio, channel and competency is aligned to win in the marketCarry out Make vs Buy decisions for NPI development. Liaison with Engineering, Sourcing, QA teams to execute NPIs. Meet 100% say/do ratio on all NPIs. Align with Regional & Global counterparts for cross-learning and roadmap alignment.Integrate inputs to develop distinctive product plans with outstanding financial outcomes; be competent in VOC, research and analysis and basic marketing toolkit [market definition and sizing, segmentation, value management, targeting and positioning, pricing.Product Portfolio ManagementRegular Voice of Sales and Voice of Customer survey to understand the Product Gaps and execute action plan to address the gapsEnsure correct Pricing and Positioning for all the products in the portfolio, with timely revisions as per the market demandManage Gross Margins for the portfolio by putting the right pricing strategies in placeEffectively manage the product launches and phase-outs. This would also include adherence to a detailed Product launch plan and effective launch communicationEnd to end brand ownership and product lifecycle management (product phase-in/out, demand planning, SIOP). Ensure portfolio is always relevant to the market with optimal brand mix to ensure all target segments are served profitably with minimal conflict and cannibalization.Product Competency BuildingDrive Product knowledge & Value based sales competency among internal teams (Sales, Marketing & Product Support) and channels (System Integrators, Distributers) through regular, structured trainingsSupport Sales team in effectively communicating the value proposition of the portfolio to external ecosystem including System Integrators, Distributers, Consultants and End UsersKeep the team updated on solution offerings and arm them with specification points, differentiators, USPs, comparisons, selectors & other sales toolsMarketing CommunicationsEngage with Marcom team for all new product launches w.r.t. branding, launch plan, events, collaterals, etc to ensure effective communication internally and externallyCoordination with Marcom and Partner Connect team to ensure timely update of Website and ePortalsCompetition MappingDevelop strong market network to gather market intelligence and update competition activities on regular basis. Use this knowledge to create means to effectively compete and continuously upgrade the portfolioTrack competition pricing to understand Market Operating prices of products and align our pricing with market on regular basisPersonalityHands on: Ability to work with cross-functional teams, spread across different cities and backgrounds. Qualifications

Education: Graduate in technical field (Engineering/Science/Computers)Experience: 8+ years of Product Management, sales & marketing experience in a B2B company or relevant start-ups and involved in new product development, portfolio management and value pricing of productsIndustry: Experience in Industrial Sensors, Industrial IoT, Manufacturing Solutions, Digital Solutions for Supply chain and logistics is mandatory. Customer facing experience in Technology/Solutions businesses is highly preferred.Results driven track record – proven ability to translate strategies into action and resultsStart-up / Entrepreneurial experience welcome – should have created a business or product line from scratchExcellent written, oral, and technical communication skills, including presentation experience to large and diverse audience.Possess strong working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
