We are looking forward to hire IBM - Cognos Professionals in the following areas :

 

Experience - 3-4 Years

Experienced professional with expertise in reporting and also Business Objects to Cognos report migration, including hands-on involvement in migration projects, report validation, and performance optimization. The candidate should have a working knowledge of Cognos Framework Manager and additional exposure to Power BI would be considered a strong plus.

1. Perform impact analysis, design mapping documents, and ensure successful migration of BO reports into Cognos equivalents.
2. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, validate migrated reports, and resolve discrepancies.
3. Use Cognos Framework Manager (basic knowledge sufficient) to make necessary adjustments in packages for supporting migrated reports.
4. Experience in BO reports development, migration, and validation. Perform unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance support for migrated reports.
5. Document processes, create knowledge transfer guides, and support project timelines.
6. Work with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and optimize performance of migrated reports.
7. knowledge of data modelling, DAX, and visualization best practices is desirable.
8. working knowledge of Cognos Framework Manager (packages, query subjects, publishing).
9. Strong knowledge on Snowflake and SQL skills for data validation and troubleshooting.
10. Good understanding of data warehousing concepts and relational databases.
11. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
12. Ability to work independently and within a team in an agile project environment.
