Structural Mechanics Engineer

Position Title : Structural Mechanics Engineer - Hydraulics & Structural Mechanics

Superior’s position : Senior Manager, Hydraulics & Structural Mechanics

Major responsibilities :

1. Perform static or dynamic stress analysis of component or equipment due to pressure, thermal, wind, seismic loading etc. using ANSYS.

2. Determining natural frequency using commercial software or firmware.

3. Analyzing rotor dynamic behavior using commercial software or firmware.

4. Carrying out analysis in accordance with international codes and standards for order specific needs.

5. Creating analysis reports including those to be submitted to client.

6. Recommending design changes to construction engineers, based on findings.

7. Working under full or partial guidance.

Requirement profile:

Formal Education:

Post Graduate in Mechanical Engineering.

(Preferably Machine design, CAD/CAM)

Professional experience:

1 – 3 years, including 1 year on specific job

Defined competencies:

• Fundamental knowledge of structural mechanics & FEA

• Experience with ANSYS or similar FEA packages

• Knowledge of programming in C++ & JAVA (optional)

Behavioural Skills:

• Good communication skills

• High analytical skills

• Good Team player
