Tally Accountant

Key Responsibilities

Data Entry: Recording all financial transactions (sales, purchases, payments, receipts) accurately in Tally.

Accounts Management: Managing ledgers, accounts payable (vendor payments), and accounts receivable (customer collections).

Billing & Invoicing: Generating invoices, debit notes, and credit notes.

Taxation: Handling GST, TDS, PF, ESI entries and filing returns.

Reconciliation: Performing bank reconciliation and matching statements.

Reporting: Preparing financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet), MIS reports, cash flow statements, and trial balances.

Inventory: Tracking stock movement, managing inventory levels, and updating records.

Auditing: Assisting with internal and external audits by providing necessary schedules and data.

Payroll: Processing salaries, bonuses, and deductions.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

Software Proficiency: Strong command of Tally ERP (or other accounting software like SAP, QuickBooks).

Accounting Knowledge: Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/Ind AS).

Compliance: Knowledge of GST, TDS, and other statutory regulations.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and data entry.

Soft Skills: Accuracy, attention to detail, time management, organization, and communication.

Education: Often a B.Com, M.Com, or a diploma in accounting/finance
