Technical Product Manager, Marketing Effectiveness 

 

 

Job Description 

 

As the Technical Product Manager, you will report to the Head of Data Science & Innovation, focusing on driving vision, strategy, and roadmap for our marketing analytics modeling platform. An individual contributor leadership role, the Technical PM is responsible for steering the end-to-end product development process, from model pipelines to automation to front end & user experience, all working in close collaboration with the Head of Data Science and in alignment with the Head of Product. You will be joining an innovation & client first culture, where creative thinking and entrepreneurial spirit are championed, fostered, and harnessed into the next-gen features of our evolving marketing analytics platform. 

 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

  • Closely collaborates with Head of Data Science to define and communicate the product vision, strategy, & goals to the broader product org and stakeholder base 

  • Maintains the product roadmap, through decomposition to seeded & prioritized backlog 

  • Cross-functionally aligns with stakeholder groups across the org in Commercial and Delivery on product prioritization against needs 

  • Works closely with Dsci, engineering, design, and commercial & delivery teams to ensure ongoing alignment and successful product delivery 

  • Initiates and leads planning increments and sets timelines, milestones, and release schedules 

  • Works closely with Incubation lead to ensure ongoing discovery with clients folds into the evolving roadmap and prioritized backlog 

  • Actively leads development squad scrum and collaborates closely with Program to institute standard SAFe Agile ways of working 

  • Effectively communicates with and influences key stakeholders, including the MEff executive leadership team 

  • Analyzes market trends and competitor landscape to inform and adjust the roadmap with ongoing shifts in customer needs and industry movement 

  • Stays up to date with the latest advancements in marketing science, machine learning, and AI, and works with the Head of Data Science to identify opportunities to apply them to our platform  

  • Fosters a culture of innovation and experimentation within the team by serving as a mentor & talent multiplier to peers and juniors on the team 

 

Qualifications: 

 

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a data or marketing science field 

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in marketing, business, analytics, data science, or a related field; Advanced Degree and/or MBA preferred 

  • Strong practical knowledge of statistical modeling 

  • Strong practical knowledge of basic ML/AI algorithms 

  • Proficiency in business intelligence tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, and Spotfire 

  • Expertise in Microsoft business tools such as PowerPoint and Excel 

  • Product Management level exposure/experience working within cloud stacks and with cloud toolkits, namely: AWS, GCP, Azure, Databricks, Jupyter, Airflow, Spark 

  • Familiarity with product development tools & apps, namely: Jira, Confluence, Git 

 

Desired Skillsets: 

 

  • Previous experience in the marketing or advertising industry is a plus 

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills 

  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills 

  • Strong sense of urgency and accountability to drive client outcomes    

  • Able to work collaboratively with internal & external teams    

  • Capable of maintaining positive relationships in complex situations & resolving stakeholder issues    

  • Strong logic, deductive reasoning, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills    

  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
