Vehicle Driver

Job Summary

The Vehicle Driver is responsible for safely operating company vehicles to transport goods, materials, or passengers to assigned destinations. The role requires adherence to traffic rules, regular vehicle maintenance checks, and ensuring timely and efficient delivery or pickup.

Key Responsibilities

Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly.

Follow designated routes and schedules for deliveries or pickups.

Ensure timely transportation of goods, materials, or passengers.

Inspect vehicles daily and report any mechanical issues.

Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the vehicle.

Follow all traffic laws, safety guidelines, and company regulations.

Load and unload materials when required.

Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel usage, and travel details.

Assist in minor vehicle troubleshooting when needed.

Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, or clients.

Requirements

Proven experience as a driver (LMV/HMV depending on job).

Valid driving license appropriate for the vehicle category.

Good knowledge of traffic rules and road safety.

Familiarity with GPS devices, maps, and navigation apps.

Physically fit and able to lift moderate weights (if needed).

Ability to work flexible hours or shifts.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge is an advantage.

Preferred Skills

Experience in commercial driving.

Defensive driving certification.

Ability to handle long-distance travel.
