Assistant Manager - Coal Handling Plant Operations

To run and maintain the CHP with optimum load and efficiency to achieve to support generation. 

Run all CHP Equipment’s and fire and dust suppression systems. 

Preparation and Implementation of Seasonal plans. 

Stack yard management (FIFO) & all CHP drains management in all seasons 

Implement SOP / best practises in CHP Operations. 

Check the defects and follow up work order and pursue  permits  

Guide subordinates and succession planning   

Handling different emergencies in a Coal Handling Plant Operations and ensure to maintain high standards of safety. 

To monitor and supervise the equipment in regular basis to achieve high availability 

Subordinate development through on job training / counselling. 

Ensure adherence to DISHA guidelines & DISHA sustenance. 

Element Owner of confined space. 

Environment Management: Ensure operations with pollution control measures. 

Root cause analysis for effective problem solving. 

Responsible for deployment of Safety Officer/ Safety Supervisor, equipment Pre-Check List verification and compliance of OHS requirements under contractor safety management. 

Recognition of Unsafe Acts, Unsafe Conditions, authorising/ checking of PTW System, create/ Review of JSA, report any near miss. 

Conducting monthly meeting, Actively participating in the Departmental Safety Committee Meetings, Ensuring the participation of the departmental staffs / agencies in the Safety Committee Meetings
