Job Description: Shift Incharge (DRI Raw Material Laboratory)

Department: Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) – Raw Material Lab

Position: Shift Incharge – Raw Material Lab

Location: Teraimal, Raigarh (C.G.) 496001

Experience: 4-5 Years

Qualification: BSc

Key Responsibilities :-

1. Shift Operations Supervision

• Supervise and monitor all laboratory activities during the assigned shift related to DRI raw materials such as iron ore, coal, dolomite, and lime.
• Ensure smooth and uninterrupted lab operations aligned with production requirements.

2. Sampling & Testing Coordination

• Ensure timely and accurate sampling, preparation, and testing of raw materials as per SOPs.
• Verify that sampling procedures follow established quality and safety standards.

3. Quality Control Monitoring

• Review chemical and physical analysis results including Fe, FeO, LOI, VM, Ash, FC, and other parameters.
• Ensure that all test results meet plant quality norms and promptly highlight deviations to the production and quality teams.

4. Shift Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain detailed shift-wise reports, test results, daily logs, and register entries.
• Prepare and submit quality reports to concerned departments in a timely manner.

5. Instrument Handling & Maintenance

• Oversee the proper use, calibration, and upkeep of laboratory equipment such as bomb calorimeter, moisture analyzer, sieve shaker, spectrometer, etc.
• Ensure periodic preventive maintenance and immediate troubleshooting of instruments
