Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic Business Development Executive who thrives in a field environment. This is not a typical desk job. You will be the face of our company on the ground, primarily responsible for selling our B2B software solutions to traditional industries (such as furniture manufacturers, showrooms, and rice mills).
Beyond sales, you will act as the bridge between the customer and our engineering team. You will be our "eyes and ears" in the market, identifying new business opportunities through customer pain points and ensuring our software is actually usable for the people we sell to.
- Key Responsibilities
- Primary: Field Sales & Acquisition (60%)
- Direct Sales: Conduct daily field visits to target businesses (specifically Furniture Shops, Rice Mills, and other SMEs) to pitch and sell our B2B software products.
- Lead Generation: Scout for new potential clients in assigned territories and build a robust sales pipeline.
- Demonstrations: Perform effective, hands-on product demonstrations to business owners, explaining technical concepts in simple, value-driven language.
- Closing: Negotiate pricing and close deals to meet monthly revenue targets.
- Secondary: Market Research & Opportunity Scouting (20%)
- Pain Point Analysis: deeply understand the daily operations of our clients. Identify manual processes or frustrations that could be solved by technology.
- Opportunity Validation: When a client says "I wish there was a way to do X," document it. Help us validate if there is a market for custom software development in these industries.
- Feedback Loop: Collect honest feedback from active customers regarding our current service and pricing.
- Secondary: UI/UX Testing & Quality Assurance (20%)
- User Advocacy: Before we release features, test them from the perspective of a non-tech-savvy business owner. Does the flow make sense for a Rice Mill operator? Is the font big enough? Is the language clear?
- Field Testing: Use the software in real-world conditions (e.g., low network areas, noisy environments) to ensure it performs well.
- Issue Reporting: Proactively hunt for bugs, errors, and "annoyances" (UI glitches, confusing buttons) and report them directly to the development team to improve the overall User Experience.

- A Hustler: You are comfortable walking into a shop or factory and striking up a conversation with the owner.
- Tech-Savvy: You don't need to code, but you must love technology. You are the person your friends ask for help when setting up a new phone or app.
- Empathetic Observer: You have high emotional intelligence. You can tell when a user is frustrated by a piece of software just by watching their body language.
- Resilient: You handle rejection well and stay motivated to hit sales targets.
- Experience: Prior experience selling to SMEs, MSMEs, or traditional sectors (Manufacturing, Retail) is a massive plus.
