Job Description
- Loading/Unloading: Assisting with the safe loading and unloading of packages from the delivery vehicle.
- Delivery & Navigation: Transporting items to designated residential or business locations, following assigned routes and schedules, often using GPS or route optimization software.
- Customer Interaction: Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, obtaining necessary signatures or proof of delivery, and sometimes collecting payments.
- Vehicle Maintenance & Safety: Performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting mechanical issues, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, and adhering to all safety protocols and transportation laws.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate delivery logs, reports, and other related paperwork.
