MIG Welder

Role Summary: The MIG Welder is responsible for carrying out high-quality welding and fabrication work using MIG welding machines. The role involves reading technical drawings, assembling metal components, performing accurate welds, and ensuring finished products meet quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Welding & FabricationPerform MIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel, or aluminum components as per job requirements.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and measurements.
• Fit, clamp, and weld parts in proper sequence to maintain accuracy and structural integrity.
• Fabricate frames, assemblies, and structures as per design specifications.
• Ensure weld quality by checking penetration, strength, finishing, and alignment.
• Inspect joint preparation, material dimensions, and finished welds.
• Identify welding defects and perform necessary corrections.
• Maintain accurate measurements and ensure all work meets company quality standards.
• Machine Operation & MaintenanceOperate MIG welding machines, grinders, cutters, and other fabrication tools.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of welding equipment.
• Report faults, machine issues, or material shortages to supervisors.
• Follow all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and workshop rules.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of gas cylinders, wires, and consumables.
