Sales Executive

Role Overview:

A Sales Executive in a retail store is responsible for ensuring a high-quality shopping experience for customers while achieving sales targets. They act as the face of the store, engaging with customers to meet their needs and promoting products effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service:

• Greet and assist customers with their inquiries and purchases.
• Provide detailed information about products, including features, benefits, and pricing.
• Address and resolve customer complaints or issues promptly.

• Drive sales by recommending products based on customer preferences and needs.
• Upsell and cross-sell products to maximize revenue.
• Meet or exceed monthly and daily sales targets.

1. Merchandising:

• Ensure that the store is well-stocked and products are displayed attractively.
• Monitor inventory levels and report shortages.
• Arrange promotional displays and ensure promotional materials are in place.

1. Billing and Payments:

• Operate cash registers or billing systems efficiently.
• Process transactions, issue receipts, and handle payment modes (cash, credit cards, UPI, etc.).

1. Store Maintenance:

• Keep the store clean, organized, and presentable.
• Ensure shelves and product racks are neatly arranged.

1. Market Awareness:

• Stay updated on current trends, new products, and competitor offerings.
• Provide feedback to the management on customer preferences and market trends.

Skills Required:

• Strong persuasive and negotiation abilities.
• Basic knowledge of billing systems and payment handling.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• A customer-focused approach and problem-solving attitude.

Qualifications:

• Minimum qualification: 12th pass (Higher Secondary) or a diploma in sales/marketing.
• Prior experience in sales or retail is an advantage but not mandatory.
