Job Description
Position SummaryThe CNC Programmer is responsible for creating CNC programs, setting up machines, and optimizing machining processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and high-quality production. The role requires strong knowledge of machining operations, G-code programming, tool selection, and CAD/CAM software.
- Key ResponsibilitiesProgramming & MachiningDevelop CNC programs for Turning, Milling (VMC/HMC), or multi-axis machines using CAM software.
- Write, edit, and optimize G-code for efficient machining.
- Select tools, speeds, and feeds to achieve required surface finish and tolerance.
- Import and interpret 2D/3D models and engineering drawings for program creation.
- Machine Setup & OperationSet up CNC machines including tooling, work holding, offsets, and fixtures.
- Run trial programs and perform first-piece inspection.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust programs as needed.
- Ensure machines operate at optimal speeds and cycle times.
