Job Description

A sales manager in the AC AMC (Air Conditioning Annual Maintenance Contract) industry is responsible for leading sales strategies, acquiring new clients for maintenance services, managing customer relationships, and ensuring AMC contracts are closed and renewed. Key duties include developing sales plans, managing a sales team, conducting site visits to assess client needs, preparing quotes, and ensuring sales targets are met. A strong understanding of HVAC systems and sales is crucial.


Core responsibilities

  • Sales strategy and execution: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve targets for AC maintenance contracts.
  • Team leadership: Manage, motivate, and train a sales team to drive performance and achieve goals.
  • Client acquisition: Prospect and acquire new commercial, industrial, and institutional clients for maintenance services.
  • Client relationship management: Nurture and maintain long-term relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and contract renewals.
  • Contract management: Close AMC contracts by understanding client needs, preparing and presenting detailed service quotes and proposals, and processing new service orders.
  • Market analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
  • Performance reporting: Track sales performance, prepare sales forecasts, and share weekly/monthly MIS reports with senior management. 


Required skills and qualifications

  • Proven experience in HVAC sales or maintenance services will be beneficial.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • A solid understanding of HVAC systems and maintenance practices.
  • A proven track record in customer acquisition, relationship management, and achieving sales targets.
  • Ability to perform site visits to assess client requirements and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Proficiency in sales software and CRM systems is often beneficial.
