Job Summary:

Uniview Technologies India Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Service Engineer – security related devices like DVR ,NVR, Camera Chipset & Hardware Repairing to support its OEM-authorized service operations. The role focuses on chipset-level diagnosis and repair of Uniview surveillance products, ensuring compliance with Uniview global quality standards, service SOPs, and turnaround timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Ø Perform chipset-level troubleshooting and repair of Uniview IP cameras, analog cameras, PTZ cameras, and related surveillance hardware.

Ø Diagnose and repair PCB-level faults involving image sensors, ISP, SoC/CPU, DDR/Flash memory, Ethernet PHY, PoE circuits, IR control, and power sections.

Ø Carry out SMD/BGA component replacement, rework, and soldering as per Uniview repair guidelines.

Ø Analyze camera failures such as no image, distorted video, network drop, PoE failure, overheating, IR malfunction, and boot issues.

Ø Use advanced test equipment including multimeter, oscilloscope, hot air rework station, BGA station, and regulated power supply.

Ø Perform post-repair functional testing, calibration, firmware flashing, and burn-in testing.

Ø Maintain accurate repair logs, serial number tracking, and failure analysis reports as per Uniview OEM documentation standards.

Ø Support RMA and quality teams by providing root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action inputs.

Ø Coordinate with Uniview global OEM technical teams for complex repair cases and technical escalations.

Ø Ensure strict adherence to ESD precautions, safety norms, and OEM quality benchmarks.

Technical Skills Required:

Ø Strong expertise in electronics fundamentals and chipset-level hardware repair.

Ø In-depth understanding of surveillance camera architecture including sensor, ISP, SoC, memory, PoE, and networking interfaces.

Ø Hands-on experience with SMD and BGA rework techniques.

Ø Ability to interpret schematics, PCB layouts, and component datasheets.

Ø Familiarity with firmware flashing tools and camera configuration testing.

Ø Knowledge of PoE standards (IEEE 802.3af/at) and Ethernet troubleshooting.

Tools & Equipment:

Ø Multimeter, oscilloscope, logic analyser.

Ø Hot air rework station, soldering station, BGA rework station.

Ø Regulated DC power supply, camera testers.

Ø ESD-safe workstation and tools.

Qualifications:

Ø ITI / Diploma / BE / BTech in Electronics, ECE, or equivalent.

Ø 2–5 years of hands-on experience in camera chipset-level or electronics hardware repairing.

Ø Experience in OEM-authorized service centers or surveillance product servicing is highly preferred.

Soft Skills:

Ø Ability to work independently and handle OEM-critical repairs.

Ø Clear documentation and communication skills.
