Job Description
- Key ResponsibilitiesProduction ManagementOversee the complete operation of the production line during the shift.
- Ensure production targets are met as per the daily/weekly schedule.
- Allocate tasks to line workers and monitor their performance.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to resolve machine breakdowns promptly.
- Maintain continuous workflow and minimize downtime.
- Quality ControlEnsure products meet quality standards and specifications.
- Conduct routine checks and inspections during production.
- Identify defects, reject faulty products, and implement corrective actions.
- Train workers on quality expectations and guidelines.
- Team SupervisionSupervise operators, helpers, packers, and support staff on the line.
- Ensure discipline, punctuality, and productivity among workers.
- Conduct on-the-job training for new staff.
- Coordination & ReportingCommunicate with production supervisors, store/warehouse teams, and quality teams.
- Record production output, wastage, downtime, and manpower usage.
- Prepare shift-end reports and update management regularly.
- Safety & ComplianceEnsure all safety protocols and SOPs are followed on the line.
- Keep equipment and work areas clean and organized (5S implementation).
- Report hazards and enforce safety discipline among workers.
- Requirements & QualificationsDiploma/ITI/Graduate in production, mechanical, electrical, or relevant field.
- 1–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production-line environment.
- Knowledge of production processes, machines, and quality parameters.
- Strong leadership and team-handling skills.
- Good problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in shifts and handle pressure.
