Senior Account Executive

Job Title: Senior Accountant (Team Lead / Audit Focus)Job SummaryThe Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining the general ledger, overseeing the month-end close process, and ensuring all company accounts are reconciled and "audit-ready." This role provides critical leadership to the accounting team and acts as the primary point of contact for external auditors and tax authorities.

• 1. Financial Leadership & Team ManagementTeam Oversight: Supervise and mentor Junior Accountants/Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable staff.
• Workflow Management: Review the work of the team to ensure accuracy and adherence to Accounting Standards (GAAP or IFRS).
• Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in the accounting cycle and implement automated or more efficient workflows.
• 2. Account Handling & General LedgerMonth-End Close: Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Account Reconciliation: Perform high-level reconciliations for complex accounts (Intercompany, Fixed Assets, Accruals).
• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate Balance Sheets, P&L statements, and Cash Flow reports for executive review.
• Consolidation: If the company has multiple entities, manage the consolidation of all accounts into one master report.
• 3. Internal & External AuditAudit Readiness: Maintain a "continuous audit" environment by ensuring all documentation, receipts, and approvals are organized year-round.
• External Liaison: Serve as the main contact for external auditors; prepare "PBC" (Provided by Client) lists and explain variances.
• Internal Controls: Design and monitor internal controls to prevent fraud, errors, or financial leakage.
• 4. Compliance & TaxTax Filings: Oversee or prepare VAT/GST, Corporate Tax, and Payroll Tax submissions.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the company stays compliant with local and international financial laws.
• Required QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Certification: CPA (Certified Public Accountant), ACCA, or CA is usually required for this level.
• Experience: 5+ years in a professional accounting role, with at least 1–2 years of team leadership or audit experience.
• Software: Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookups, Macros).
