Business Development Manager – Roles & Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation & Market Expansion

Identify new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and referrals

Research market trends, competitors, and potential clients

Develop strategies to enter new markets and industries

2. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management

Approach prospective clients and present company products/services

Build long-term relationships with decision-makers (HR, Founders, Directors, etc.)

Understand client hiring/business needs and provide customized solutions

Maintain strong post-sales engagement for repeat business

3. Sales & Revenue Growth

Achieve monthly/quarterly revenue and closure targets

Prepare proposals, quotations, and negotiations with clients

Convert leads into paying customers

Upsell and cross-sell services to existing clients

4. Strategic Planning

Create and execute business development plans

Collaborate with marketing team for campaigns and promotions

Suggest pricing strategy and packages based on market demand

5. Account Management

Handle key accounts and ensure client satisfaction

Resolve client concerns and coordinate with internal teams

Monitor service delivery and performance metrics

6. Reporting & Analysis

Track sales pipeline and update CRM regularly

Prepare weekly/monthly sales reports and forecasts

Analyze conversion ratio and improve closing strategies

7. Team Coordination

Work closely with recruitment/operations team for smooth delivery

Support junior sales executives and guide them on closures

Participate in meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations
