Job Title: Field Sales Manager

Location: Ranchi

Department: Sales / Business Development

Reporting To: Regional Sales Manager / Zonal Sales Head

Experience Required: minimum 2 years in field sales or team management

Qualification: Graduate in any discipline

Job Summary:The Field Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing a team of field sales executives to achieve sales targets, expand market reach, and grow customer relationships. This role involves strategic planning, on-ground supervision, and performance tracking to ensure high productivity and market penetration.

  • Key Responsibilities:Lead, train, and manage a team of field sales executives to drive sales and achieve monthly/quarterly targets.
  • Develop and execute area-specific sales strategies to capture new customers and retain existing ones.
  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor team performance, customer engagement, and competitor activity.
  • Identify and onboard new dealers, distributors, or retail partners (as applicable).
  • Ensure timely reporting of sales data, market insights, and lead status through CRM or reporting tools.
  • Organize and oversee promotional activities, product demos, and roadshows in the field.
  • Resolve customer issues or escalations quickly to ensure satisfaction and retention.
  • Track and analyze sales performance metrics and guide team members to improve outcomes.
  • Maintain strong coordination with supply chain, marketing, and finance teams for smooth operations.
  • Monitor compliance with company policies, pricing, and documentation standards.
  • Skills & Competencies:Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Good understanding of the local market and customer behavior
  • Target-driven mindset with a proven sales track record
