Job Title: Field Sales Manager
Location: Ranchi
Department: Sales / Business Development
Reporting To: Regional Sales Manager / Zonal Sales Head
Experience Required: minimum 2 years in field sales or team management
Qualification: Graduate in any discipline
Job Summary:The Field Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing a team of field sales executives to achieve sales targets, expand market reach, and grow customer relationships. This role involves strategic planning, on-ground supervision, and performance tracking to ensure high productivity and market penetration.
- Key Responsibilities:Lead, train, and manage a team of field sales executives to drive sales and achieve monthly/quarterly targets.
- Develop and execute area-specific sales strategies to capture new customers and retain existing ones.
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor team performance, customer engagement, and competitor activity.
- Identify and onboard new dealers, distributors, or retail partners (as applicable).
- Ensure timely reporting of sales data, market insights, and lead status through CRM or reporting tools.
- Organize and oversee promotional activities, product demos, and roadshows in the field.
- Resolve customer issues or escalations quickly to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Track and analyze sales performance metrics and guide team members to improve outcomes.
- Maintain strong coordination with supply chain, marketing, and finance teams for smooth operations.
- Monitor compliance with company policies, pricing, and documentation standards.
- Skills & Competencies:Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Good understanding of the local market and customer behavior
- Target-driven mindset with a proven sales track record
- Ability to analyze data and draw actionable insights
- Comfortable with reporting tools, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office
