Position Overview

We seek a qualified Manufacturing Trainer with expertise in mechanical manufacturing, tool and die making, plastics mould making, or production engineering. The trainer will deliver industry aligned training to prepare underprivileged youth for employment in the manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver technical training in manufacturing processes including machining, CNC operations, and tool making

• Conduct practical sessions on conventional and CNC machines (lathe, milling, drilling)

• Teach tool and die making, plastics mould design, and manufacturing techniques

• Train on metal component manufacturing and quality control procedures

• Provide instruction on engineering drawings, measurement tools, and inspection techniques

• Demonstrate safe machine operation and workshop safety practices

• Develop training curriculum aligned with NSQF standards and industry requirements

• Assess trainee skills through practical projects and written examinations

• Maintain training equipment and ensure proper machine functioning

• Establish linkages with manufacturing companies for trainee placement

• Monitor trainee progress and provide remedial support as needed

• Champion the cause of skill development for economically disadvantaged communities

Minimum Educational Qualification

Option1: B.E. / B.Tech / M.Sc. in Mechanical / Production / Plastics Mould / Tool / Tool & Die / Manufacturing Engineering / Technology

Option2: Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Plastics Mould / Tool / Tool & Die / Manufacturing Engineering / Technology

Experience Requirements

1.Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech / M.Sc.

Industry Experience: No specific minimum required

Preferred Specialization: Metal Component Manufacturing, Conventional & CNC Machining, Mould, Tool & Die Making

2.Qualification: Diploma

Industry Experience: 2 years in Manufacturing

Preferred Specialization: Metal Component Manufacturing, Conventional & CNC Machining, Mould, Tool & Die Making

Note: Training experience is not mandatory but will be highly preferred.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and production engineering

• Proficiency in machining operations (turning, milling, grinding, drilling)

• Experience with CNC programming and operation (preferred)

• Understanding of tool and die design and manufacturing

• Knowledge of engineering materials, heat treatment, and metallurgy

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (GD&T)

• Familiarity with measuring instruments (vernier, micrometer, gauges)

• Teaching aptitude and communication skills

• Passion for skill development and youth empowerment

• Adaptability to work with learners from diverse educational backgrounds
