Job Description
- Order Picking: Locating and retrieving specific products from warehouse shelves or storage areas based on order lists, slips, or handheld scanners.
- Quality Control: Inspecting products for any damages or defects before packaging to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Packaging: Selecting appropriate packaging materials (boxes, padding, etc.) and securely packing items to prevent damage during transit.
- Labeling and Documentation: Attaching correct shipping labels, pricing information, and necessary paperwork (invoices, packing slips) to packages.
- Inventory Management: Assisting with organizing stock, restocking shelves, conducting inventory counts, and reporting discrepancies or shortages to supervisors.
- Work Area Maintenance: Keeping the assigned work area clean, organized, and safe according to company and safety guidelines (e.g., OSHA standards).
- Equipment Operation: Safely operating basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks or hand trucks to move goods (forklift certification can be a plus).
