Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing end-to-end accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and handling statutory compliance including GST and TDS. The role supports audits, taxation, and internal controls while mentoring junior accounting staff.

• Key Responsibilities Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Handle month-end and year-end closing activities
• Ensure compliance with Indian accounting standards, GST, and TDS regulations
• Prepare, review, and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2B reconciliation, annual returns)
• Reconcile GST input credit (ITC) and resolve mismatches
• Calculate, deduct, and deposit TDS as per Income Tax Act
• Prepare and file TDS returns (24Q, 26Q, 27Q) and issue Form 16 / 16A
• Coordinate with tax consultants and auditors for GST, TDS, and statutory audits
• Support income tax assessments, notices, and departmental queries
• Maintain proper documentation for statutory compliance
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes
• Guide and review work of junior accountants
• Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
• 5–8+ years of experience in accounting and taxation
• Strong hands-on experience in GST and TDS compliance
• Sound knowledge of Indian taxation laws and accounting standards
• Experience with accounting software (Tally)
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Experience handling audits and statutory filings
• Experience in mid-to-large organisations
• Exposure to multi-entity accounting
