Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Quality Control Manager with 10-12 years of expertise in sheet metal and heavy structural steel fabrication. He should be responsible for ensuring that products meet established quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. This includes developing and implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections, analyzing data, and leading a team of quality control personnel.

He should play a crucial role in maintaining product quality, improving production efficiency, and meeting customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

 Developing and Implementing Quality Control Systems:

Creating and maintaining quality control procedures, inspection methods, and testing protocols for all stages of the fabrication process, from raw materials to finished products.

 Inspections and Audits:

Conducting regular inspections of materials, in-process work, and finished products to ensure they meet established quality standards and specifications.

 Defect Analysis and Resolution:

Investigating quality issues, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective and preventative actions to minimize defects and improve product quality.

 Data Analysis and Reporting:

Collecting and analyzing quality data to identify trends, track performance, and prepare reports for management review.

 Team Leadership and Training:

Leading, mentoring, and training the quality control team, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.

 Compliance and Standards:

Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and customer-specific requirements.

 Continuous Improvement:

Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and improve overall operational efficiency.

 Collaboration:

Working closely with other departments, such as production, engineering, and

purchasing, to address quality issues and improve processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

 Technical Knowledge:

Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes, materials, and

quality control methodologies.

 Quality Control Expertise:

Proficiency in quality control techniques, such as Statistical Process Control

(SPC), Root Cause Analysis, and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).

 Leadership and Team Management:

Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team of quality control

personnel.

 Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, analyse, and resolve

quality issues.

 Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with other

departments and communicate quality standards effectively.

 Experience:

10+ years of experience in quality assurance/ control, with at least 5 years in

a leadership role within the sheet metal industry.
