Continental Head Chef

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Continental Head Chef to lead the kitchen of our Italian café. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Italian and continental cuisine, maintain high food quality standards, manage kitchen operations efficiently, and lead the kitchen team with discipline and creativity.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee Italian & Continental dishes such as pasta, pizza, risotto, sauces, appetizers, and café-style mains
• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control
• Create and improve menu items while maintaining cost efficiency
• Manage daily kitchen operations, inventory, and raw material usage
• Maintain hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness as per FSSAI standards
• Train, guide, and supervise kitchen staff
• Coordinate with management for menu planning, pricing, and specials
• Reduce food wastage and control kitchen costs
• Ensure timely food preparation and smooth service during peak hours

Requirements & Skills

• Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in an Italian/Continental café or restaurant
• Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine, sauces, baking, and wood-fired/oven cooking
• Good leadership and team management skills
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen SOPs
• Ability to handle pressure during busy hours
• Passion for quality food and innovation
