AM/DM - Machining Maintenence

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  • Apply and maintain a proficient understanding of Analytical QC Tools and methodologies, including ISO standards and Kaizens, to enhance manufacturing quality and efficiency.
  • Lead and execute Value Stream Mapping (VSM), QC Story, MFMEA, CBM, TBM, and Root Cause Analysis to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and operational issues.
  • Perform detailed troubleshooting and maintenance of Mechanical Power Presses and EOT Cranes, ensuring all operations meet safety and efficiency standards.
  • Demonstrate expertise in repairing and maintaining Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems on various presses, maintaining optimal function and safety compliance.
  • Conduct checks and adjustments for Parallelism and Perpendicularity of Presses to maintain precision in manufacturing processes.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to statutory, regulatory, and legal compliance requirements within the maintenance department and broader manufacturing operations.
  • Drive and enhance Planned Maintenance (P.M.), Uptime, Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), and Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) metrics for Tryout and Spotting Presses as well as CNC Machines, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Manage preventive maintenance and uptime for utility equipment, including Overhead Cranes, DG Sets, Compressors, and Forklifts, supporting uninterrupted production flow.
  • Plan, control, and monitor spare parts inventory to ensure availability and cost efficiency, reducing downtime and supporting lean maintenance practices.
  • Implement and champion Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and P.M. Pillar Activities, fostering a culture of autonomous maintenance and continuous improvement among the maintenance team.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and quality teams to integrate maintenance strategies that support business goals and operational excellence.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance personnel to enhance skills in machine diagnostics, repair techniques, and preventive maintenance protocols.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, proposing and executing solutions that elevate machine reliability, performance, and safety standards.

Critical Experience

  • Extensive expertise in applying advanced quality control tools and analytical methods, including Analytical QC Tools and ISO compliance, to drive process optimization and fault diagnosis.
  • In-depth experience with Value Stream Mapping (VSM), QC Story methodologies, Failure Mode Effects Analysis (MFMEA), Condition Based Maintenance (CBM), and Time Based Maintenance (TBM) within a high-volume manufacturing setting.
  • Proven capability in troubleshooting and repairing Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems integral to heavy manufacturing equipment such as Mechanical Power Presses and EOT Cranes.
  • Demonstrated ability to monitor and improve key maintenance metrics such as Planned Maintenance Uptime, MTTR, and MTBF specifically for Tryout and Spotting Presses as well as CNC machines.
  • Competence in planning and carrying out maintenance activities for critical utilities including Overhead Cranes, Diesel Generators, Compressors, and Forklifts, ensuring operational continuity.
  • Strong track record in implementing and sustaining Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs and pillar activities focused on equipment reliability and maintenance excellence.
  • Experience in managing spare parts logistics efficiently to match preventive and corrective maintenance needs without affecting production targets.
  • Leadership skills demonstrated by guiding maintenance teams, facilitating skills development, and promoting a culture focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
