Job Summary

Responsible for tasks associated with accounting, such as creating and delivering reports, managing invoices, receiving and handling payments, and completing general bookkeeping duties.

R&R

  • To have sound knowledge of general accounting
  • To be proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge about GST Filling & Returns
  • Hands-on experience with Tally ERP
  • Review and release online banking payments
  • Ensure compliance with the revenue service
  • Offer continued assistance with reporting and accounting
  • Make financial reports every month
  • Conducting daily control checks to make sure the ledger is normal and to look into any problems brought on by system or manual error
  • Keeping the system and accounts book up-to-date

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month

Responsibilities:

Recording Transactions: Inputting financial data into accounting software or spreadsheets.

Invoice Processing: Verifying and processing invoices and ensuring they are accurate.

Bank Reconciliation: Matching and reconciling bank statements with the company's financial records.

Expense Management: Managing and processing employee expenses.

Accounts Payable and Receivable: Monitoring and managing payments and receivables.

Financial Reporting: Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports.

Payroll Processing: Assisting in the preparation and processing of payroll.

General Administrative Tasks: Handling routine administrative tasks related to finance.

Qualifications:

Education: A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is often preferred, but not always mandatory.

Experience: Entry-level positions may not require extensive experience, but relevant internships or previous accounting-related roles are a plus.

Software Proficiency: Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel is often essential.

Attention to Detail: Accuracy is critical in accounting. An ability to pay attention to details is a key attribute.

Organizational Skills: Managing multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.

Communication Skills: Good communication skills are important, especially when interacting with colleagues and external contacts.

Analytical Skills: Basic analytical skills are needed to understand and interpret financial data.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Accountant at Hotel Ashwa Park in Salem. The Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, monitoring and analyzing accounting data, producing financial statements, establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods and principles, and managing accounting personnel.
