Electrical Design Engineer

Position: Senior Engineer – Estimation, Costing & Design (Panel Manufacturing)

Job Responsibilities:

1. Prepare cost estimation and techno-commercial proposals for electrical panels such as PCC, MCC, PDB, APFC, VFD, PLC and Automation Panels.
2. Study tender documents, technical specifications, and drawings to understand project requirements.
3. Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) based on design and project specifications.
4. Coordinate with design, purchase, and project teams for accurate costing and technical compliance.
5. Select suitable electrical components (ACB, MCCB, Contactors, VFD, PLC, Relays, etc.).
6. Prepare GA drawings, SLD, and basic design documents for estimation purposes.
7. Obtain quotations from vendors/suppliers and finalize costing.
8. Support the sales team in technical discussions and client clarifications.
9. Review and optimize costing to maintain project profitability.
10. Maintain records of estimates, BOQ, and project documentation.

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of Electrical Panel Design & Manufacturing
• Understanding of AutoCAD / Electrical Drawings
• Knowledge of Estimation, BOM preparation, and costing
• Familiarity with PLC / Automation Panels is an advantage
• Good communication and coordination skills

Qualification:

• Diploma / B.E. in Electrical/EC/IC Engineering

Experience:

• 5–8 years’ experience in Electrical Panel Manufacturing Industry
