Quality Inspector

Job Description:-

We are looking for a Quality Inspector - (Lab Testing)for our client place based at Sanand, Ahmedabad (Gujrat). A Lab Incharge will manages all lab operations, ensuring accurate testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished steel products (chemical/physical/metallurgical), overseeing lab staff, maintaining equipment/inventory, ensuring ISO/quality compliance, and generating critical quality reports for production, with a focus on safety and precision in a demanding, multi-shift environment. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Staff Management: Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate lab chemists/technicians; handle performance issues.
• Quality Control: Ensure accurate testing (chemical composition, mechanical properties, cleanliness) of raw materials, molten metal, and finished steel.
• Operations Management: Oversee daily lab activities, manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain lab resources.
• Equipment Management: Maintain, calibrate, and ensure the availability/functionality of specialized lab equipment.
• Procedure & Compliance: Develop, implement, and enforce work procedures, SOPs, and quality standards.
• Reporting & Analysis: Analyze test results, prepare detailed reports, and support process improvement/control plans.
• Safety: Enforce strict health and safety protocols within the laboratory. 

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Metallurgy, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering.
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of metallurgical testing, chemical analysis, material properties, and lab equipment.
• Quality Systems: Familiarity with Documents Process.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead, train, and manage technical teams.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent data analysis and problem-solving abilities.
• Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-shift production environment.
