JR55439 Senior Equipment Technician

Job description : As Equipment Technician you are responsible for monitoring, sustaining, and improving the equipment in their assigned area, while working in partnership with Shift Operations team members, area equipment engineers and tool vendors. Equipment Technicians monitor tool performance, schedule and perform preventative maintenance on assigned tool sets, and use mechanical, electronic and PC/software skills to repair equipment issues. Responsibilities: • Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process • Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings • Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts. • Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required • May perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers. • Provide communication between ES, Engineering, and Production • Communicate with production to relay problems, changes, or request information as needed • Provide feedback observations and data to the engineering group to help resolve chronic problems or experiments • Assist engineer on projects to improve overall test equipment efficiency and effectiveness • Support continuous improvement projects to improve yield • Propose and execute improvement projects to desired results • Perform FA analysis from PE request COMPLY WITH STANDARDS FOR SAFETY, ENVIRONMENT, HEALTH, SECURITY, and BUSINESS CONTINUITY • Communicates any problems or concerns to the appropriate individual immediately. Ensure proper notification for any event, including “near miss” occurrences. • Promotes a positive culture for safety and environmental programs at MTV by adhering to the safety expectations for your team and by holding other team members accountable • Ensures a healthy and safe work environment for all team members by identifying risks to our local environment and escalating in the proper fashion to ensure that they are minimized • Ensures all safety and environmental compliance-related work tasks are being completed in accordance to existing requirements (LOTO, audits, training, Job Hazard Analysis, use of proper PPE, evacuation procedures). • Comply with all safety and environmental policies, where applicable, and hold other team members accountable when performance gaps exist. Qualification : Diploma holder with 2-3 years of work experience in PCBA Manufacturing
