Job Description: Project Control Manager

The Project Controls Manager will oversee all aspects of project controls for projects, ensuring the timely and efficient management of budgets, schedules, and performance metrics. This role involves collaborating with project teams to implement effective project management practices and tools, contributing to the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Scheduling: Direct the development, implementation of project control systems. Supervise the development, maintenance and updates of schedules, resource loading, ensuring alignment with project milestones. In addition, perform ongoing delay analysis, developing and maintaining integrated critical path analysis, evaluating GC’s schedule related claims, and raising project early warning signals.
  • Cost Management: Supervise the monitoring and control of project costs
  • Management Reporting: Supervise the preparation and presentation of regular reports on project status, performance metrics, and forecasts to stakeholders
  • Risk Management: Help identify and mitigate project risks in alignment with project stakeholders 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other project stakeholders to ensure effective coordination.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and lead project control team members, promoting professional development and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum of 20+ years of experience in project controls
  • Proficiency in project management software like Primavera P6 or MsProjects
  • Proficiency in software like Microsoft Excel for Financials

Preferred Skills:

  • Good understanding of planning fundamentals including Earned value methodology
  • Understanding of project financials
  • Familiarity with engineering, procurement and construction processes involved in developing infrastructure projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Team leadership
