Service Engineer

We are seeking a Service Engineer with hands-on knowledge of pharmaceutical production processes to provide installation, maintenance and support for pharma manufacturing equipment. The candidate will work closely with production teams to ensure equipment operates efficiently and complies with GMP and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission and troubleshoot pharmaceutical production equipment such as reactors, mixers, injectable vessels, etc.
• Provide on-site technical support to ensure smooth operation of mechanical and process systems.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment to minimize downtime.
• Understand pharma production processes including mixing, Instrumentation, P & ID, Piping & Isometric.
• Analyze and solve mechanical, electrical and process-related issues in equipment.
• Coordinate with design, production and quality teams for upgrades or modifications.
• Ensure all activities comply with GMP, safety and hygiene standards.
• Maintain detailed service reports, logs and equipment documentation.
• Train plant operators and maintenance teams on proper equipment handling and preventive maintenance.

Required Skills

• Strong mechanical and process troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical production processes.
• Hands-on experience with installation, commissioning and maintenance of pharma equipment.
• Basic understanding of GMP and hygiene standards in pharma manufacturing.
• Good communication and coordination skills for working with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs and process documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical / Industrial / Production Engineering.

Experience

• Experience working Min 1-2 Years with pharmaceutical equipment manufacturers or pharma plants is preferred.

Preferred Knowledge

• Pharma equipment such as Bioreactors, Fermenters, mixers and process (SIP & CIP) skids.
• Knowledge of process piping, utilities and automation systems.
