Site Engineer

About us:

Aligned is the Aluminium Windows Solution division of Marvel Glass. Aligned offers high performance windows and façade solutions tailored to modern design and requirements. We have a completely machine-based fabrication facility that assembles over 50 different types of windows with extremely stringent quality checks.

Experience:

The candidate must have worked as a site engineer for atleast 5 years.

Site experience can be in aluminium industry, construction industry or sub industry of construction – like contracting, carpentry/furniture.

Key Responsibilities:

1.     Project Supervision & Management: Oversee daily site activities, delegate tasks, and adjust schedules for each site to meet deadlines.

2.     Technical Oversight: Interpret drawings, provide technical advice, resolve site issues, and ensure adherence to specifications.

3.     Quality & Safety: Conduct quality checks, enforce safety regulations (HSE), conduct risk assessments, and ensure high standards.

4.     Coordination & Liaison: Work with clients, architects, and subcontractors to ensure that site work is executed without any setback.

5.     Reporting & Documentation: Prepare site reports, manage project documentation, and report progress to management on bi-weekly basis.

6.     Resource Management: Plan material needs, manage human resources for installation and ensure efficient resource use.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Technical Skills: Ability to read site drawings, understanding of building codes, strong analytical skills.

Soft Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, organization, negotiation, and teamwork.

Attributes: Detail-oriented, adaptable, hardworking, able to work in challenging environments.

Typical Work Environment

A mix of majority site work (potentially harsh conditions, difficult access) and minority office work (planning, reporting).

Requires wearing safety equipment like safety shoes and site helmet.
