VMC Programmer

Position Overview:We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented VMC Machine Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Vertical Machining Centers (VMC) and CNC programming. The role involves writing, editing, and optimizing CNC programs to produce high-precision parts based on engineering drawings, while ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety standards are met.

• Key Responsibilities:CNC Programming: Write, modify, and optimize programs for VMC machines using CAD/CAM software or manual methods (G-code, M-code).
• Machine Setup: Prepare and set up VMC machines, including selecting tools, fixtures, and raw materials to ensure smooth machine operation.
• Tool Path Creation: Generate and verify tool paths based on part drawings and 3D models, ensuring accuracy in part geometry and dimensions.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure parts meet specified tolerances and quality standards through in-process inspection and using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
• Troubleshooting & Optimization: Resolve programming and machine-related issues during setup and production, optimizing cutting strategies to reduce cycle time and improve efficiency.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of programs, setups, and revisions. Ensure proper documentation for part programs, tooling lists, and production logs.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, designers, and machinists to ensure effective communication and successful project completion.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
