Mechanical Design Intern

What you’ll be working on:

Designing and iterating CAD models for a smart dustbin system

Working on mechanical structure, enclosure design, and usability

Prototyping using 3D printing and basic fabrication

Exploring sheet metal designs for scalable manufacturing

Collaborating with electronics/software team for integrated product development

Testing, debugging, and improving product designs through multiple iterations

What we’re looking for:

Strong fundamentals in CAD modeling (SolidWorks / Fusion 360 / similar tools)

Prior experience with 3D printing and prototyping workflows

Exposure to sheet metal design is a big plus

Basic understanding of electronics integration in products (not mandatory, but preferred)

Ability to take ownership of a module or feature and drive it forward

Someone who is curious, proactive, and comfortable figuring things out independently

Must-have

Demonstrated project experience (college or personal)

Ability to show past work / portfolio / prototypes
