Electromechanical Lead Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor E&M project execution in alignment with schedule and budget.
  • Coordinate between engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) teams to ensure seamless execution of E&M works.
  • Review technical designs documents, technical specifications, and vendor drawings for turbines, generators, transformers, switchgear, control systems, and balance-of-plant equipment.
  • Manage procurement, contract negotiations, and vendor performance for major E&M packages.
  • Oversee site erection, testing, commissioning, and performance guarantee tests.
  • Ensure compliance with project technical requirements, industry standards (IEC, IEEE, ISO), and contractual obligations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Coordinate with civil, hydro-mechanical, and transmission teams for integrated project delivery.
  • Engage with clients, consultants, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders on E&M matters.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop project engineering teams.
  • Foster a culture of technical excellence, teamwork, and proactive problem-solving.
  • Evaluate and approve equipment selection, manufacturing quality plans, and factory acceptance test (FAT) procedures.
  • Oversee change orders, claims, and contractual correspondence related to E&M scope

Qualifications

  • B.E./ B. Tech in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering 
  • 12+ years of experience in E&M, preference from the Hydro/PSP industry.
