Job Description

Manager (Planning & Contract Admin)

Responsibilities

1. Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop and manage Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for project baseline.
  • Prepare and maintain cost and resource-loaded schedules using tools like Primavera P6.
  • Ensure adherence to project control standards and update schedules within agreed timeframes.
  • Integrate schedules from contractors and suppliers for consolidated reporting.
  • Perform trend analysis, generate performance indicators, and identify risks/opportunities. 

2. MIS (Management Information Systems) & Reporting

  • Establish and maintain MIS systems for project monitoring and reporting.
  • Produce monthly progress reports, including schedule performance, cost variance, and earned value analysis.
  • Support risk management, change management, and cost control teams with accurate data.
  • Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as schedule adherence, budget performance, quality, and safety metrics. 

3. Contracts & Commercial Management

  • Oversee contract administration, including compliance with terms and conditions.
  • Coordinate with procurement teams for contractual bidding, negotiation, and award.
  • Manage claims, variations, and dispute resolution in line with contractual obligations.
  • Ensure alignment of contractual deliverables with project timelines and budgets. 

4. Stakeholder Coordination

  • Liaise with internal departments and contractors to ensure smooth execution.
  • Foster collaborative relationships and maintain client team values.
  • Provide strategic updates to senior stakeholders and participate in technical review meetings. 

5. Technical & Leadership Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of planning and contract professionals, ensuring staff development.
  • Mentor junior staff and build capability in project controls and planning.

Qualifications

  • BE/B Tech in Civil Engineering. PGD in project Management/Construction Management/Contract Management/WSS.
  • Exp: 10 to 15 years of experience in the same kind of job in Hydro/PSP.
