Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking an in-office Business Development / Partnerships / Sales professional who can

drive revenue through outbound prospecting, relationship building, consultative selling,

and deal closures. This role requires high ownership, strong communication, and disciplined

follow-through.


Primary success metric: Revenue closed (collections-based).


Key Responsibilities

Revenue & Pipeline Ownership


  • Own the sales lifecycle from lead generation to closure: outreach → discovery →
  • proposal → negotiation → closure.
  • Build and maintain a structured pipeline using the company’s existing CRM/process.
  • Forecast monthly closures and maintain consistent pipeline hygiene.

Outbound & Relationship Development

  • Execute outbound outreach across online and offline channels (LinkedIn, email, calls,
  • events, communities, referrals).
  • Develop relationships with founders, decision-makers, and ecosystem partners.
  • Represent Palnesto professionally in meetings, networking events, and partner
  • discussions.

Consultative Selling

  • Identify client requirements and position the right service offering based on business outcomes timelines.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to scope solutions and create accurate proposals and Ensure pricing discipline and margin alignment while negotiating and closing deals.

Post-Sales Coordination

  • Support handover to delivery teams with clear documentation of scope, expectations and payment terms.
  • Maintain client relationships for repeat business and referrals.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 0–5 years of experience in sales, business development, partnerships, or client acquisition (agency/tech services preferred).
  • Strong spoken and written communication (English required; additional languages are a
  • plus).
  • Comfortable with outbound activity and performance-based targets.
  • Professional maturity in handling calls, meetings, negotiations, and follow-ups.
  • Working knowledge of sales tools: CRM, email, spreadsheets, proposal decks.

Compensation & Incentives (Professional Structure)

Fixed Pay: ₹30,000 – ₹40,000 per month

Variable Pay: Performance-linked incentives aligned to closures and collections

Perks: Travel for client meetings/events (as required)


Incentive principles (standard agency model):

Incentives are calculated on revenue collected (not just invoiced).

Incentives scale with performance (higher closures = higher payout).

Strategic deals (retainers/high-margin accounts) receive higher weightage.

Detailed policy shared during onboarding.


Sample structure (credible and commonly used):


  • Monthly incentive: 3%–6% of collected revenue (slab-based), subject to margin thresholds
  • Retainer bonus: additional fixed bonus per retainer closed (e.g., ₹5,000–₹15,000 per retainer, based on size)
  • Quarterly accelerator: additional payout for crossing quarterly revenue milestones
