QC Chemist / Microbiologist

Job Description

Position: QC Chemist / Microbilogist

Experience: 3–4 Years

Department: Quality Control

Location: Turkapally, Telangana

Key Responsibilities

Microbiological Analysis:

Perform bioburden testing

Conduct sterility testing

Execute microbial limit tests

Carry out environmental monitoring (EM)

Perform water testing (PW, WFI)

Analytical & Laboratory Activities:

Carry out analytical testing as per approved specifications, SOPs, and test methods

Operate and maintain laboratory instruments including:

Autoclave, LAF, Incubator, BOD Incubator, Colony Counter

pH Meter, UV Spectrophotometer, HPLC (if applicable)

Prepare, standardize, and handle culture media and reagents

Compliance & Documentation:

Ensure adherence to GDP, GLP, GMP, and regulatory guidelines

Maintain accurate test records, logbooks, and reports

Participate in OOS, OOT, deviation investigations, and CAPA

Support internal and external audits (WHO, ISO, GMP, FDA, as applicable)

Follow safety, hygiene, and laboratory best practices

Additional Responsibilities:

Assist in method validation, method transfer, and stability studies when required

Qualifications

B.Sc / M.Sc in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or related discipline

3–4 years of relevant experience in QC Microbiology / Analytical QC

Strong knowledge of GMP, GLP, SOPs, and regulatory requirements

Good documentation and communication skills

Preferred Skills

Experience in pharmaceutical / healthcare / manufacturing industry

Exposure to regulatory audits and inspections

Ability to work independently and within a team environment
